About Emily

Emily’s practice builds on more than a decade of experience in talent assessment, team building, and executive coaching as a Partner at ghSMART. Her approach is grounded in judgment, curiosity, and deep understanding of the strategic and organizational context in which leaders operate.

Emily has assessed more than 400 executives and supported dozens of top teams and boards, giving her a unique ability to recognize patterns, evaluate potential, and identify leaders who can succeed. She delivers an independent, highly personalized perspective in every engagement.

Earlier in her career, Emily was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, focused on strategy, human capital, and M&A. She began her career as a banker in HSBC’s Equity Capital Markets group.

Emily holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from William & Mary. She lives in McLean, VA, with her husband and three children.
